Establishment / Reorganization of the Department :-

1) As per Government Resolution No. “PTC 1084/6895 (35/84) Mash 4” dated 31 August 1984, issued by the Government of Maharashtra, Education and Services Scheme Department, the Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training was established at Pune.

2) As per Government Resolution of the School Education and Sports Department, No. DIET-4516/(4016)/Training, dated 17 October 2016, the office of the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Maharashtra, Pune, has been reorganized.

Functions of the Department :-

• Submission of office expenditure bills, maintenance of the cash book, and preservation of records of all bills.


• Submission of salary bills of office officers/employees and all related allowances and benefits.


• Reimbursement of medical bills of officers/employees, submission of travelling allowance and transfer travelling allowance bills, and submission of advances for house building and motor cycle loans.


• Submission of quarterly, four-monthly, eight-monthly and eleven-monthly budget estimates under various heads for the present office and subordinate District Institutes of Education and Training, as well as Divisional Deputy Directors of Education; submission of budget proposals and distribution of grants to subordinate offices.


• Submission of all retirement benefit bills of retired officers/employees, preparation of retirement cases, and submission of Group Insurance Scheme bills.
