Department establishment :-

According to Government Resolution No. PTC 1084/6895(35/84) Mashi 4, dated August 31, 1984, of the Government of Maharashtra, Department of Education and Service Schemes, the Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training (MSCERT) institution was established in Pune.
According to the Government Resolution No. DIET-4516/(4016)/Training, dated October 17, 2016, of the School Education and Sports Department, the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Maharashtra, Pune office has been restructured.

Functions of the Department:

    1. To keep the service books of all officers and employees updated.
    2. To sanction leave of all officers and employees.
    3. To grant annual salary increments to all officers and employees.
    4. To carry out the process of granting benefits under the Assured Career Progression Scheme or granting promotions to all officers and employees.
    5. To sanction retirement-related benefits to officers and employees retiring from service.
    6. To complete service-related matters of all officers and employees, such as granting exemption from Hindi/Marathi language examinations, issuing permanency certificates, reviewing service records, preparing Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APAR), and completion of probation period.

Departmental Activities / Initiatives:

As per Government Resolution No. 2024/PR.No.08/Computer dated 15 October 2024 issued by the School Education and Sports Department, the process of implementing the e-Office system has been initiated in the Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training (Pune) and in all subordinate District Institutes of Education and Training as well as all Regional Academic Authorities.
