Department of Child Education

Department of Early Childhood Education:

As per Government Resolution dated 17 October 2016, the Maharashtra Council of Educational Research and Training, Pune, was reorganized and a 'Department of Early Childhood Education' was established in the council. For this department, positions were created including one Deputy Director, one Group-A Officer, two Group-B Officers, and one Peon.

Objectives of the Department of Early Childhood Education

To prepare curriculum frameworks according to the basic-level curriculum determined at the national level, keeping in mind the needs of the state.
To achieve the objectives given for early childhood education according to the National Education Policy.
To prepare training modules for Anganwadi workers under the 'STAR' project.
To prepare children for school under pre-primary education as per NEP-2020.
To empower the teaching-learning process of Anganwadi workers from the perspective of early childhood education.
To plan and implement programs at the national and state level for the physical, mental, emotional, and overall development of all children in the age group defined at the national level.
