SCERT Maharashtra was established in January 1964 as the State Institute of Education. In 1984, it was restructured as MSCERT. In 2016, it was declared “Vidya Pradhikaran” under the RTE Act and officially renamed SCERT Maharashtra in 2019.

SCERT महाराष्ट्राची स्थापना जानेवारी 1964 मध्ये राज्य शिक्षण संस्था म्हणून झाली. 1984 मध्ये MSCERT स्थापन झाले. 2016 मध्ये शिक्षणाचा अधिकार अधिनियमांतर्गत विद्या प्राधिकरण घोषित करण्यात आले व 2019 मध्ये SCERT महाराष्ट्र असे नाव देण्यात आले.
