Geet Manch

In order to create joy in education,various steps have been taken by education departments one such effort is Geet Manch.

The great musician late Mr. Vasant desai rendered his valuable service for this section. The committee was formed under the chairmanship of mr. Yeshwant Deo. Song were selected and composed in such a way that children should feel joy in it sweet and harmonious melodisa were selected. Latter on the scheme ‘ Ek Sur Ek Tal’ was included in the 7th plan and known as ‘Geet Manch’.

Patriotism, national integrity, brotherhood, love for democracy, equality,freedom , creativity, fraternity all such values are backbons of nationals character. The song from geetmanch are selected in such a way that all asuch values should reflect in it.

The scheme is so important that it not only creats joy in education but also helps to improve the quality of education and directly reduces the high rate of drop outs and stagnation indirectly.

Till now geetmanch section had created aumber of new song and those song are taught to the teachers in various training programmes arranged by geetmanch section at state, regional, district and block level.

Objectives of the scheme.

1. To train state and regional level resource persons.
2. To develop social minds through social songs.
3. To imbibe value like patriotsm, national integrity, secularism, equality love for democracy and brotherhood.
4. To develop aesthetic sense among the children.
5. To inculcate environmental sense throug environmental songs.
6. To enable the students to take interest in sweet and harmonious melodies.

Programmes arranged in 2010-12

A training of teachers from municipal corporation school and the training for lecturers and teachers from DIETs were specially arrange. Geetmanch song and poem from textbooks were taught to all the teachers and cassettes were given to them as well.
